The DC Traveler

One can only assume in an effort to milk it for all it’s worth, the Dancing with the Stars losers or is that runners-up, are heading out on a 10-week, 37 city tour, including a stop in Washington, DC. It’s the third Dancing tour since the popular show first aired on ABC.

The scheduled touring team of 14 dancers includes:

• Marie Osmond, who will have hopefully found a way to work her now-famous fainting spell into the show.
• Katrina Smirnoff, the five-time U.S. National Champion dancer, who we all found out is recovering from a “medical procedure” to her nose. Thanks to her publicist for issuing a press releases to People magazine and keeping us all in the loop.
• Mr. Vegas, Wayne Newton, who blew off his October show at the Birchmere due to “illness”, only to return to sing a couple numbers on Dancing with The Stars the same evening, will “allegedly” also be showing up in DC this time. Unless he experiences some other performance-canceling “illness”.
• Edyta Silwinska, the only professional dancer to appear on all five seasons of DWTS.
• Jonathan Roberts, the professional dancers who was previously partnered with Rachel Hunter, Heather Mills and now, Marie Osmond. Hopefully he will learn to catch his partner if she faints again.

Nice to see Jane Seymour has decided to take a pass to focus on her other interests, especially after recently losing her mother and surviving the Malibu wildfires.

Tickets - $52.50- $168.00 and are available online through Ticketmaster. Table seating is an option as well, at $168.00.

Nearest Metro subway station - Gallery Place / Chinatown (the Metro station is part of the Verizon Center) - Red, Yellow and Green lines or use the DC Circulator.

Parking - limited street parking in the area, but various paid lots and garages are within a short walk.
