Green Festival - Save the Environment
Join consumer advocate (and possible Presidential candidate) Ralph Nader and 125 other visionary (as well as a couple possibly fringe) environmental speakers, plus 350 green businesses and exhibitors at this year’s Green Festival at the D.C. Convention Center.
With a jam-packed agenda of 50 programs using four simultaneous stages, attend lectures, panel discussions, how-to workshops and green films on a variety of topics. Lectures, programs and workshops include:
- Building the green economy
- Green activism
- Energy - solar and alternative energy and fuels, nuclear power
- Globalism
- Recycling
- Climate change
- Conscience consumerism
- Fair Trade
There’s also a food drive benefiting the Capital Area Food Bank.

Dates and Times - Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 6th and 7th
- Hours - Saturday - 10:00 a.m. - 8: 00 p.m., Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Tickets - $15.00 (good for both days), and are available online. A special discounts ticket is available at the door $10.00 for Seniors, students 12 and over, with ID, union members with union card, and people who bicycle to festival.
Nearest Metro Subway Station - Mt. Vernon Square, Yellow and Green line, then a 2-block walk
Parking - Metered street and paid garage parking is available.
