Travel & Culture Review Round-up

Round Up Time Once in a while the Travel & Culture Channel has a theme day and this month it was “reviews”.  The topic was left fairly open, we were asked to review something - a restaurant, a travel destination, a travel-related product, whatever.

Here’s what some of my fellow writers came up with for their “reviews”.  And thanks to Lynn at The Paris Traveler who’s hosting the review round-up.

Since I’m in DC, lets get the politics out of the way. Alex at Sirened reviews the Democrats Running for Prez.  I’m looking forward to his review of the GOP candidates after the next Republican debate.  And is anyone fearful that the 2012 presidential campaign may actually start sometime next week?

At The Geeky Traveler, Sherry reviews a rather cool multi-beam flashlight, great for walking at night. No if they would only make one like this for my bike.

At The Chicago Traveler, Matt writes about a place I’ve been to many times when I still lived there, Moody’s Pub, a great place for burgers.

And speaking of The Windy City, Mary Jo at Fly Away Café reviews her experience at the female-focused blogger’s  conference - BlogHer 07. I’m surprised she forgot to mention her quick stop at Garrett’s Popcorn (a personal Chicago favorite), which would make any conference fun.

Shirley at Southern Byways gives us some great info on Space Mountain at Walt Disney World, plus a link to a video of the ride. Hold on kids….

And finally, for some summer reading, Lynn at The Paris Traveler reviews the best-selling novel Suite Française, a story written by a woman who perished at Auschwitz during WW-II, yet her daughter was able to save her manuscript.

My review of Colvin Run Tavern was my review submission.

So please, check them all out.
