The Haunted Halloween Forest
Take a “relaxing” 20-minute stroll through some local woods on a dark and cloudy night.
But watch out. It is Halloween season. Trick or Treat? You never know what may be around the next bend.
What was that noise?
Did you hear something or was it just your imagination?
Is someone following you?
Ghouls, chainsaw slashers and the living dead….
Are you getting scared?
Vampires and mass murderers…
Should you run?
Just plan on dressing up and enjoying a really scary walk…
But will you ever be seen again???
Since 1993, Markoff’s Haunted Forest has been delighting kids and adults with its haunted forest walk. They also run outdoor adventure camps for kids, adults and corporate groups, so these’s guys know the outdoors.
There’s also bonfires, scary movies, a fortune teller, and usually a big group of costumed visitors creating a fun and scary atmosphere where everyone can safely enjoy a night in the “scary” outdoors.
For an additional cost, you can:
- Check out The Death Jump, and try your luck jumping from a telephone pole to a trapeze. Is there a net below you to catch you if you miss??
- Hop on The Haunted Bus
- Take a Haunted Hay Ride
- Try your luck climbing The Spider Walk, a vertical climbing wall
- Fly through the air on Bat Flight
NOTE - This walk might not be appropriate for very young kids, or people with weak hearts. They claim some adults get so scared they cry and some kids just laugh it up. So they recommend that parents carefully consider if you or your children are up for it. Patrons must also read and sign a waiver.
Markoff’s Haunted Forest
19020 Martinsburg Road
Dickerson, MD 20842 (map it), about 40 miles from DC
Dates and Times - Nightly (except when raining), starting at dusk (around 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.) until 9:00 p.m. on weeknights, and 10:30 on weekends and Halloween night. To manage crowds, tickets are timed, so there may be a short wait.
Tickets - $ 20.00 - all nights except, Oct. 19, 20, 21 26, 27,28 when tickets are $25.00 per victim person. Tickets are available at the door only. NOTE: Cash only, no credit cards are accepted.
Parking - free parking is available.
