In order to allow for more time to finish their double album, The Cure has decided to postpone their fall North American tour until spring of next year. The Cure was originally scheduled to perform at the Patriot Center on September 19. A new date for the Patriot Center in the spring is still to be determined. Tickets for the September 19 show will be valid for the rescheduled date in 2008. Patrons wishing to receive a refund can do so at the original point of purchase. Call them post-punk, goth rock or New Wave, The Cure were one of the first alternative bands to truly achieve commercial success and have tunes top the charts, all in an era before the alternative sound was cool. And would bands like The Smashing Pumpkins or Jane’s Addiction have the sound they do today without The Cure blazing the alternative rock trail?
Some of their moody and brooding hits include “Friday I’m in Love”, “Boys Don’t Cry”, and “Let’s Go To Bed” and “Just Like Heaven” (below).

Dates and Times - Wednesday, Sept. 19th at 8:00 p.m.
Tickets - $57.50 and are available online.
Nearest Metro Subway Station - Vienna - Orange line, then a 10 minute cab ride. Cabs are NOT usually waiting for passengers after concerts so make prior arrangements.
Parking - Parking is included in the ticket price.
