The $54 Million Pants
As reported earlier on The DC Traveler, a lawyer in DC filed a lawsuit against a DC dry cleaners for losing a pair of pants, a $67 million lawsuit.
Ruling in favor of the dry cleaners, AP/Yahoo News reports, that the judge in the case ruled against the DC attorney who was asking for $54 million. Any surprise here?
Now let’s see of the dry cleaner sues the lawyer for legal fees and court costs. This case could turn into a reality show.
Score one for the common man.

I heard that the owner of the dry cleaners will sue for court costs which ran into more than $100,000! It’s crazy that it went to court in the first place, but most lawyers (not all) will take on any case as long as it brings them money!

This is probably the most ridiculous lawsuit that I can think of. It even tops the woman who sued McDonald’s because she spilled coffee on herself that was too hot. Hell, she won that case!
It’s unbelievable that someone would be serious about this. Candid Camera is one thing, but this…what a waste of time, money and agravation over a pair of freakin pants!!

Hopefully, the man who filed this suit will be shamed by his friends and fellow lawyers.
