But I found this video and thought, now this extreme sport might make an interesting post.  But after watching the video, it’s beyond insane, it’s actually a step or two past suicidal.

And If I find a place in the Washington, DC area that teaches this extreme sport, perhaps somewhere in the mountains of West Virginia, I probably won’t write about it.  This is simply a bit too extreme for me and anyone I know.

Ever Sunday afternoon, just a hour west of DC in rural Bealeton, VA, you can watch a flying circus with over a dozen vintage planes performing acrobatic feats. The show also includes a parachute jumper opening the show as well as a wing-walker who hangs from her ankles below plane’s lower wing.

You can also take a ride up in one of the vintage Stearman, Fleet, or Waco biplanes. For $60 you can take a “standard” (level) 8-10 minute ride, or $120 for a 10-15 minune arobatic ride, including a aileron, barrel and snap rolls, a spin, a loop, a Cuban 8 and Split “S” (it’s probably best not to eat prior to your ride). Or take a ride in the ever-classic Piper Cub for only $35.00. Rides are available starting at 11:00 a.m. and after the air show.
