Over the centuries flamenco has evolved from folk dancing to a form of passionate performance art.
Ballet Flamenco José Porcel, from Spain, will perform a combination of traditional and modern flamenco works, which combine influences from Gypsy, Arabic, Jewish and Indian cultures.

Paco de Lucia has become synonymous with passionate flamenco guitar, blending the traditional Spanish style fused with jazz, rock and rumba. Introduced to guitar by his father, a day laborer, who played guitar at night as a way to supplement the family’s income.  In the early 1960s, at the age of 14, Paco was touring as a guitarist with the world-famous flamenco dancer, Jose Greco.
