With exhibits such as Battlefield Surgery, the Evolution of the Microscope, Medical Diagnostic and Treatment Technology and the Effects of Arsenic, plus over 12,000 medical objects, including X-ray machines, microscopes, surgical instruments and anatomical models, the National Museum of Health and Medicine makes for a different museum experience for anyone interested in health, medicine or military history.

Dates and Times - Open daily, 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Docent led tours are offered at 1:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.

Tickets - Admission is free, (donations accepted)

Nearest Metro Subway Station - Silver Spring or Takoma Park - Red line, then a cab or bus ride to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center campus.

Parking - Free parking is available in the museum’s driveway. On weekday,s a required parking pass can be picked up at the Information Desk.
