February Music Highlights

by Jon on February 3rd, 2008

This month, there’s some great live music in Washington, DC, and here’s a round up of some of the more interesting musicians and bands playing in the area.

At The Birchmere, there’s some great jazz.

  • Walter Beasley - Feb. 9th (also at Ram’s Head 2/10) - Beasley’s latest CD, entitled For Her, hit number 5 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts.
  • Al Jarreau - Feb. 12th (also at Ram’s Head  2/18 & 19)  From the hit We’re in This Love Together to writing and singing the theme to the 1980s television show Moonlighting, this seven-time Grammy winner is the only vocalist to win in three separate categories - pop, jazz and R&B.
