Dulles Plane Pull…and No Security Lines
As a Special Olympics fundraiser, the Metro DC Airports Authority Police Dept. is hosting the 15th annual Dulles Day Family
Festival and Plane Pull.
The highlight of the festival is the team Plane Pull, where teams of twenty people pull a 150,000-pound Boeing 727 aircraft 12 feet in a timed competition. Last year’s wining team completed their pull in just over 7 seconds, the slowest team took 38 seconds.
The festival also includes numerous aircraft on display, a classic car show, live music, food and beverages (and no, not airline food), plus lots of games and activities for the kiddies, including a school bus pull.
There’s also a bunch of raffles for free airline tickets.
