Carnival Time

It’s time for another Carnival of Cites hosted this time by Doc’s Place, so let’s see some of the places we get to visit…

  • Leave it to the Lynn, at The Paris Traveler, to find some great sources for gourmet cooking lessons in France.  I love the idea of a 5-day emersion cooking class. Sign me up!
  • Speaking of food, MJ at the The Seattle Traveler gives us the scoop on Pike Place Market turning 100, making it about 35 years younger than our own Eastern Market.
  • And while DC has a very extensive and moving holocaust museum, over at Everyone Needs Therapy, the Dr. tell us about Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem.
  • Across the big pond at This non-American Life, it’s party time with the annual Zurich street parade (in drag).  Looks like lot of silliness.
  • For more silliness, Grace at Sandier Pastures give us a bit of humor about living in the heat of Dubai.
  • While people in the U.S. are concerned about home foreclosures, it looks as if a bunch of developers in Bangkok are simply walking away from high-rise construction projects, leaving the city with it’s own set of skeleton skyscrapers. Check it out at Tim’s Cheapest Destinations.
  • Speaking of foreclosures, back in San Francisco’s Silicon Valley, a home I bet some neighbors might want the bank to foreclose on and bulldoze, called the “Flintstone House”.  Thanks to The Digerati Life.

My carnival submission, in case you missed it, was the global dinners offered at the Ritz.

Enjoy!!
