Bad Dates…And 600 Pairs of Shoes
In the play Bad Dates, a divorced single mom from Texas moves to the Big Apple and decides to look for romance. We watch a six-week period of Haley Walker’s life unfold in her bedroom as she experiences the up, downs and utterly bizarre life of a New York dater.
Over the course of her reintroduction to the dating world, she agonizes over the perfect outfit for the perfect first-impression, has a brush with Eastern European mobsters, attends a Buddhist fund-raiser, and fights with a bad-fitting pair of designer pumps (not to mention, a collection of 600 pairs of shoes), all which cause her to examine her own own prejudices, expectations, hopes and fears.
Serious and funny, the story follows her through a succession of classic bad dates.![]()
