The list of kid-friendly things to do goes on.

16) Make a game out of quizzing the kids to see what they remember from each destination.  Where do penguins live? Who first signed the Declaration of Independence? Who’s the toughest dinosaur on the block?Washington DC - Washington Redskins Football

17) Get tickets to a DC sporting event.  During most seasons, you might be able to find one the major pro sports team playing - baseball, football, hocke, basketball or soccer.  Check out the team’s box office, a local ticket brokers or on criagstist.org for  tickets.

18) Get each kid a disposable camera and let them capture their own memories of their trip to DC.

19) Ask them to listen to other tourist while standing in various waiting lines and see how many foreign languages they can hear.

Washington DC - Stike Bethesda Bowling20) Take the kids bowling at the not so typical Strike Bethesda. They’ll love the hip 60s-retro meets techno-cool bowling alley with big screen TVs, pop music, trendy food and neon lighting. . Opens at 5:00 p.m. but after 9:00 p.m. it’s 21 and over only, so best if you’re kids are teens and you go early.
