4705 – The Year of the Boar
This is my second post (read the first post) about Chinese New Year celebrations in DC.
The Year of the Pig or Boar starts on Sunday, February 18th with the annual Chinese New Year parade in DC’s Chinatown.
Watch the famous Chinese Lion and Dragon Dances, see beautiful costumes, marching bands and witness a 50-foot tall firecracker that will be lit at 4:00 p.m.
Have a late lunch or early dinner at one of the many Chinese restaurants within a block or two or grab something to go and dine street-side while watching the parade.
Remember to dress warm.
