Another thought before the weekend hits!

The best kept secret in D.C. – summer nights on Lafayette Square. The June installment of this monthly series featuring music and merriment in a festive, casual atmosphere features the music of Jennifer Krupa & Leigh Pilzer Quintet on Thursday, June 5th. Highlighting the music of acclaimed local ensembles, Jazz on Jackson Place invites guests to gather and mingle after work in a beautiful, historic setting – and continues the nearly two centuries-old tradition of great entertaining at this Lafayette Square landmark.

Jazz on Jackson Place takes place on the first Thursday evening of every month April through September, and is held outdoors in the Decatur House courtyard, with tours of the historic house available. The remaining dates for the series are July 3: Bobbe Shore & First Call, August 7: Abraham Carmona and Sept. 4: Burnett Thompson and the New Columbia Orchestra Septet.

The event is held 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $25 for non-members and $20 for members. Advance reservations are strongly encouraged to 202-842-0920 ext. 41239
