Blocktoberfest in Washington, DC
It’s a block party…no, it’s Octoberfest, no…it’s Blocktoberfest.
With 51 bands on ten stages, and enough food and beer, carnival rides, strolling entertainers and kids games to fill RFK Stadium, this year’s Blocktoberfest will have something for everyone.
The Family Fun Zone will feature clowns, jugglers and kid-friendly entertainment.
Two of the scheduled bands include the Gin Blossoms and the Violent Femmes (that is if the band survives the recent lawsuit filed by one of its members just a couple months ago), plus a couple Oompah-pah bands for all you polka dancers. There’ll also be about a dozen DJs spinning music all day and night long.
Proceeds from the festival go to SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now).

Dates and Times – Saturday, Oct. 6th - 1:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m.
Tickets – Adults – $20.00, kids under 13 FREE. Tickets are available online but may increase as the event date gets closer.
Nearest Metro subway station – Stadium-Armory – Blue and Orange lines
Parking – lot parking is available.
