Walk This Way
There are few rock bands that have stood the test of time, but one of them is Aerosmith.
Led by front man Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry, the two earned the nickname, the “toxic twins”, due to their rock-star consumption of heroin and other drugs. Tyler, after rehab, is quoted as stating, “We believed that anything worth doing was worth overdoing.”
In 1986 (has it been that long?), Aerosmith collaborated with Run-D.M.C. on a rap remake of “Walk This Way”, which hit #4 on the rock charts and #27 of the Top 100 Songs that Changed the World as listed by Rolling Stone Magazine. The hit also re-ignited the band’s career.
Some of their classic hits include “Dream On, “Walk This Way”, ”Rag Doll”, “Love in an Elevator”, ”Sweet Emotion” and a personal favorite shown above….”Dude (Looks Like a Lady)”.
