My Kind of Town…
Combine murder, adultery, a gaggle of hungry tabloid reporters, a couple of wanna-be starlets, along with a slick lawyer and what do you get? No, I’m not talking about Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan or one of the other Hollywood train wrecks. This is the story of Roxie Hart and her dream of fame on the stage in Chicago. When it slips through her fingers, she kills the man who promised to help her, but was only using her.
While the play could have been set in modern day DC or scandal-ridden Hollywood, the bright lights and gangsters of 1920s Chicago is an ideal locale.
Winner of six Tony Awards®, Chicago, The Musical is the story of two murderesses and their manipulative lawyer who transforms them into the latest media celebrities.
With over 20 songs, plenty of high energy dance numbers and a great story, this is one play not to be missed.
Grammy Award winner and R&B singer Brian McKnight will be staring as the overly slick criminal lawyer, Billy Flynn in the play, Chicago, The Musical starting September 25th at the Warner Theatre.

I actually only saw the film long after it was released on DVD, and it was my first time seeing any peformance of the famous ‘Chicago’. I can’t believe I was missing out for so long! I’d love to see it performed on stage…
