Mmmm on M Street

On the first Saturday of each month, the elegant Ritz Carlton in Washington DC, usually in conjunction with a local embassy, hosts a sampling of food and drinks from a foreign land.

Ritz DC Lobby The Ritz’s chefs create three dishes (smaller portions) plus dessert along with local cocktails from the featured land. The embassy or a travel bureau also presents an informative multimedia presentation about the destination.

“Mmmm….on M Street,” takes place in the Ritz’s ritzy lobby lounge.

The schedule for the rest of the year is:

  • September – Swaziland - celebrate their Independence Day.
  • October – Austria - enjoy the traditional fun and food that’s Oktoberfest.
  • November – Monaco - enjoy Monaco’s National Day.
  • December – Thailand – celebrates the King’s birthday while discovering the tastes and colors of the Siamese state.Ritz Lobby Lounge

Tickets - Reservations are recommended – call 202-835-0500

Cost – $35.00 per person, excluding tip and taxes.

Nearest Metro Subway Station – Foggy Bottom – Orange and Blue lines , then a 3 block walk.

Parking – Paid hotel valet parking and often tough to find metered  street parking is available.
