DC – A Top City for Singles
According to a Forbes 7th annual report on the top cities for singles, Washington, DC was ranked at number six.
According to the report, the District came in at the following rank in the various categories:
Culture: 6 (based on number of museums, pro sports teams, live theater and concert venues per capita)
Nightlife: 6
Singles: 7 (based on percent of never-married singles 15+)
Job Growth: 18
Cost Of Living Alone: 30
Online Dating: 19 (rank based on active online dating profiles)
Percent Not Married: 33% (41% nationwide)
And from another Forbes report, DC’s “Drunkest Cities Rank” was 20, tied with Baltimore, a stat probably more important to the college aged crowd.
